With her roots in Oriental medicine and culture, Yoshiko brings with her the authentic and traditional shiatsu massage therapy and relaxation techniques to America. Yoshiko came to America in 1980 and has two decades of experience providing massage therapy to her clients.
Yoshiko has always held a strong interest in complete full body health, believing that an acute injury is the cause of multiple interacting systems in the body. She believes nutrition, exercise, as well as full body maintenance and relaxation is needed to keep the mind and body in harmony.
Yoshiko has lived in America for almost 40 years, raising four children with a loving husband. She embodies a motherly persona and will work with you to get to know you and understand your specific situation and lifestyle.

Shiatsu is a traditional Oriental message therapy technique that utilizes pressure points to increase energy flow through Meridian Flow Pathways. These techniques are meant to break apart the blocks that form through repititive daily actions and tense muscles. These techniques are similar to that of acupuncture, which target the meridian points with needles.
This massage focuses on a specific set of muscles to improve recovery time for athletes. This massage helps an athlete improve their endurace so they can get back to training or to improve recovery time after an injury. It relieves pain, prevents stiffness, and returns muscles back to their original state.
The hot stones used in this technique allow for blood vessel dilation resulting in greater blood flow to your skin and muscles. The heat from the stones along with a full body massage provides deeper relaxation.
This treatement is based on the belief that the entire body is connected via the nervous system and every part of the foot is connected to another part of the body. It's goal is to clear the pathways of energy flow, return the body to it's original state, and increase the immune response. It does so by stimulating the lymphatic system to eliminate waste.
The therapist will incorporate heated bamboo to roll and knead your muscles. This method allows the heat from the bamboo to relax muscles as it kneads and rolls. This allows the therapist to penetrate your muscles more deeply with less pressure.
